1. KAINOS (KAINOS)
A Greek term, which literally means, "New-quality things." The word "kainoV" is closely associated with the word "Innovative" or "Innovation." To innovate simply means to introduce new things, new ideas, new methods, and new approaches. In the academic sphere, the term "innovative" is closely associated with the desire to introduce new concepts or new paradigms of education with its corresponding new methods and approaches to education thereby making education and those educated become relevant to the times, efficient and effective in responding to the demands of the times.

2. GNWSIS (GNOSIS)
A Greek term, which literally means, "Knowledge." The term "gnwsiV" is closely associated with one's pursuit of knowledge. It is this pursuit of knowledge that makes one competent. This pursuit of knowledge that is relevant to the times is attained using a new paradigm of education and its corresponding new methods and approaches. Gnosis or knowledge is itself the point of reference of "kainos."

3. SOFIA (SOPHIA)
A Greek term, which literally means, "Wisdom." The term "sofia" is closely associated with one's search for wisdom. It is this search for wisdom that makes one excellent. The pursuit of knowledge must be coupled with the search of wisdom. Otherwise, one without the other is valueless and, thus, devoid of meaning. Knowledge paves the way to wisdom; wisdom gives meaning to knowledge.

The pursuit of Knowledge (gnosis) and the search for Wisdom (sophia) are essential to the entire concept of education. To make this concept work within a given context, the introduction and implementation of new paradigms, new methods and approaches in Education (kainos) must take place. The interrelatedness of the three makes one a wholesome learner. The more one becomes a wholesome learner, the greater is his/her disposition to show competence and excellence in every life's endeavor.
