NLE (Nursing Licensure Examination)

 
 icsec-nleNLE - The Nursing Licensure Examination is a government – mandated examination administered by the Professional Regulations Commission to a graduate of B.S. in Nursing. Anyone who wishes to practice nursing as a profession in the Philippines must pass this exam and must be duly registered with the PRC.
 
The NLE is an integrated comprehensive set of tests organized into five parts (Nursing Practice I, II, III, IV and V) revolving mainly around the major nursing components – Basics of Nursing (Safety and quality care, communication, collaboration and health education); Empowering components (Legal, ethico-moral responsibilities and personal and professional development); Enabling components (Management of resources and environment, record management); and Enhancing components (Research and quality improvement).
 
ICSEC has two courses for the NLE which were designed to provide the students with the most effective preparation for the board exam. The NLE Refresher Course offers a comprehensive review of the nursing concepts and theories by trained instructors. The NLE Test Preparation program offers a wide range of assessment tools which aim to equip the students with effective test-taking skills.

PTLE (Physical Therapy Licensure Examination)

PLTE - The Physical Therapy Licensure Examination is a government – mandated examination administered by the Professional Regulations Commission to a graduate of B.S. in Physical Therapy. Anyone who wishes to practice physical therapy as a profession in the Philippines must pass this exam and must be duly registered with the PRC. The PTLE is a comprehensive set of tests that include basic concepts and principles, skills and attitudes in the major subject areas of Physical Therapy. The exam is divided into three (3) main parts: Part 1 is Basic/Fundamental Sciences, Part II is Medical and Surgical Conditions and Part III is Physical Therapy Applications.

NPTE (National Physical Therapy Examination)

 
icsec-npteNPTE - In order to be licensed as a physical therapist in any one of the 53 jurisdictions in the United States of America, a candidate must take and pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE). This is a computer-based PT examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) through Prometric.
 
NPTE consists of 250 items that measure knowledge and competencies required of entry-level physical therapists in the following areas of the physical therapy practice: Examination, Evaluation, Intervention and Standards of Care.
 
ICSEC’s NPTE Preparation Program provides a comprehensive discussion of the different concepts, principles, and competencies needed for the practice of Physical Therapy in the United States. To further enhance the preparation for NPTE, intensive test preparation is provided wherein the students are exposed to different types of questions of varying difficulty.
 

CET (The College Entrance Test)

CET - The College Entrance Test is an instrument designed by universities and institutions to test the students’ knowledge and skills in answering problems on Mathematics, Science, English, Filipino and Abstract Reasoning. It is administered in all universities and colleges in the country as a basis for admission.
 
The students are being tested in different subject areas such as Mathematics, Science, English, Filipino and Abstract Reasoning. The students’ learning abilities are examined if they could adjust and adapt to the Institution’s standards of education.
 
ICSEC offers the most comprehensive CET preparation course in the country designed to equip the students with the necessary knowledge and test-taking skills needed to achieve excellent scores in the College Entrance Tests of the premier schools in the country. Two programs are being offered namely, a tutorial-based program and a class-based program. The former is customized for the specific needs of the students, concentrating on their areas of weakness, while the latter provides a more comprehensive review program.
 

LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers)

 
icsec-letLET - The Licensure Examination for Teachers is a government – mandated examination administered by the Professional Regulations Commission with the objective of promoting, developing, and professionalizing the teachers and the teaching profession. Anyone who wishes to practice teaching as a profession in the Philippines must pass this exam and must be duly registered with the PRC.
 
The examinations for the elementary and secondary school teachers are separate. The examination for teachers in the elementary level consists of two (2) parts, namely: general and professional education. The examination for teachers in the secondary level shall consist of three (3) parts, namely: general education, professional education, and field of specialization.

NMAT (National Medical Admission Test)

IELTS (International English Language Testing System

All candidates must complete four Modules - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking - to obtain a band score, which is shown on the IELTS Test Report Form (TRF). All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking Modules, while the Reading and Writing Modules differ depending on whether the candidate is taking the Academic or General Training Versions of the Test.
 
IELTS tests are held in over 800 centres with tests up to four times a month. IELTS respects international diversity and is fair to anyone who sits the test, regardless of nationality.
